Not quite sure where to start to be honest. Took my car to this garage because it was convenient for where I work. When I dropped the car off, I told them that "I think the issue is with the wheel bearings", but I wasn't too sure because I don't know much about cars.
I get a phone call that same day in the afternoon from the garage telling me that it wasn't the wheel bearings, it was the brake pads. which, to me, was good news, As this is usually cheaper to fix.
I take my car in a couple of days later to get the brake pads replaced, and then I get another phone call in the afternoon from the garage saying "it isn't just the brake pads. It's the wheel bearings as well". Hmmm. You would think they would have checked this on day 1 considering I told them that this was the issue. But no bother, people make mistakes sometimes, and this didn't bother me too much.
I then collect my car that same day, and was told when I got there that the brake drum also needed replacing. Which instead of calling me to approve this extra cost, they surprised me with it when I came to collect my car. I accepted this, as I just wanted my car to be sorted. I then get in my car. Turn my engine on. Service light and ABS lights show up on my dashboard, because they had forgotten to put the "ABS ring" back on. So apparently, the brake drum that they replaced (Which I didn't even approve!) caused another issue for me, and wasted more of my time.
At this point the garage was closed and they were leaving. So they asked me to come down AGAIN the next day to have it put back on, although I was tempted to make them fix it then and there.
Its safe to say that I will not be using this garage again. I know a few people who go to this garage who I have explained my experience to, and who will most likely not be going again too.
